February 11 at 5:50pm · Ashford Rovers A 2-1 Tallaght City
Match played away on sacred hearts astro pitch Rovers left with 3 points after a fantastic 91st minute winner from man of the match Cian O Hainnin. Nil Nil at half time with both defences doing well . We took the lead through a fine finish from Cian into the bottom corne,r but the lead only lasted 5 minutes as Tallaght equalized. We went ahead 2-1 after a great finish from Brendan Manning only for the ref to strangely cancel it out for offside, but in fairness to the lads they keep going and going and on the 91st minute ,Cian picked the ball up 30 yards out, dribbled forwar,d and hammered home the winner. A great 3 points ,tough place to take points from. Tallaght City are a good team. Lot of fantastic performances today Brian Coen ran Cian close to man of the match but Cian with the Brace just edged it. Well done lads!

The fantastic Wicklow cup run the A team where on came to an end today in Enniskerry a tale of two halves with Glencormac taking full advantage of errors in our back line to lead 2 -0 at half time. Two county youths playersNathan Doyle and Jamie Jamiie Byrne where introduced at Half time and sparked us into life. A fantastic corner swung in by Callum Pursey was headed home by Captain Shane Dunne who put his body on the line and took a heavy knock in doing so, with twenty minutes left and 2-1 downDanny Byrne was introduced and his first touch was to slot home a peno after Jay Taylor was taking down inside the area that also seen Glencormac reduced to 10 men.We pressed and pressed and just couldn`t find the net and just when it looked like we where heading for extra time Glencormac where awarded a free 20 yards out touching our sideline a fantastic ball in wasnt dealt with and the Glencormac striker buried home to finish us off .Well done to Glencormac although we didnt play well credit has to be giving to them on the day and you can see why there top of their Division best of luck in the rest of the Cup, as for us we are top of the Premier table and still 4 Trophies to play for so back to the drawing board and we keep going head up lads you can only be proud of what you all have achieved in the Wicklow Cup over the last few seasons.
