Ashford Rovers AFC Grassroots Fundraiser - please play our lotto. Less than a price of a coffee each week you will make a big difference:
We are thrilled with the support shown for our Club’s Lotto Fundraiser. These funds help the day to day running of the club and help in further development of our club. We have completed the resurfacing of our Astro Pitch and the upgrading of our floodlight system. The club house needs to be upgaded and we need your help.
As a community focused, all inclusive club, we strive to give our members the best possible facilities with the best possible coaching, and by joining this fundraising initiative, you will be playing a major role in helping us achieve this. Please pass the word on and invite friends and family. We hope that the €2.50 per line option will allow everybody to contribute.

Premier Result -19/1/25
Ashford Rovers A 1
Greystones United 0
Our Premier team welcomed Greystones to Ballinalea Park this morning knowing a win would see us leap frog them and move into 4th position.
Easier said than done missing 8 players and Greystones in good form. The only goal of the game came early in the first half when the evergreen Brian Harry Harrington slotted expertly into the bottom corner from the edge of the box. We nearly scored again a few mins later but it was dealt with and cleared. We lost the lively Jack Byrne through injury shortly afterwards and in came youths player William Smith after playing a full game yesterday including extra time with big boots to fill and did a great job.
Second half Greystones pushed for the equaliser but our defence stood strong leaving Craig Armstrong in goal with little to do. A solid performance lads and too many good performances to single anyone out. A well managed game and hard fought. Thanks to Greystones for the competitive game and to the ref Michael Kennedy.

FA CUP 18/01/25
Monasterevin 3
Ashford Rovers 2
After Extra Time
Our Youths where on the road today for their first games in months and it showed as we failed to convert chance after chance which came back to bite us.
We took the lead through a Zack Nichols penalty and we went in 1 nil up at half time but in truth it could have been more on another day.
Monasterevin got their equaliser ten minutes into the second half and took the lead shortly afterwards. 2 1 down. Straight from tip off we where awarded a free kick 40 yards from goal and up stepped Craig Armstrong from our goal with he's rocket of a shot proving too hot to handle for the impressive Monasterevin goal keeper but first in was the birthday boy Bailey Collingwood who made no mistake from 5 yards. 2 2 with 10 minutes to go.
All Ashford and centre back big Jack Byrne got moved up top to see if we could snatch the winner and that he nearly did Bailey skint the defender down the right and squared for Jack who came onto it 6 yards out free as a bird only for the ball to bobble up and over he's foot and Monasterevin cleared. Off to extra time we went!
Match continued end to end with Bailey hitting the crossbar for us and Craig making a few good saves but heartbreak with 3 minutes left when Monasterevin where awarded a penalty for a hand ball very harsh but in fairness the ref had giving us one earlier and was consistent in he's decision making. Up stepped the Monasterevin penalty taker and smashed it top corner two keepers wouldn't have saved it. We pushed on for the last few minutes but Monasterevin held on and advanced into the next round. Hard luck lads on another day some of them chances would be goals and the Monasterevin keeper making two big big saves one in particular when it was 2 2. Best of luck to Monasterevin in the next round and a big thanks for the hospitality afterwards very much appreciated.
